3rd February: Festival of the Virgin of the Candelaria in the districts of Cayma and Characato. In Caraveli, the festival of the Virgin of the Buen Paso. Celebrations last for four days and fireworks are set off the night before and included in the celebrations are cock fights, bull fights and parades of Peruvian Paso Horses.
